Lufussa, was created in 1994 with the sole purpose of responding to the energy demands of Honduras. Lufussa is a company entirely comprised 100% by Hondurans, including its directors, managers, and operators.
During the course of the past few years Lufussa has achieved substantial growth in the energy generation sector of Honduras, to the extent that we now consist with an energy generation park with an installed capacity of around 390 MW, through with which we support the economic and social development of our beloved Honduras.

My name is Luis Kafie, I am a Honduran businessman dedicated to the electric power field, graduated in Business Administration and Finance from the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., United States.
I am part of a diversified group of family businesses engaged in different economic sectors, including: Food and Beverage; Textile; Product Distribution; Real estate; Coffee export; Agro Industry; Dairy products and juices; Representations and electrical energy.
Today, I dedicate myself to lead the investment projects groups in generation of electrical energy (both renewable and fossil fuel). Served as Founder and Director of the Generadora del Istmo S.A. with operations in Panama and Luz y Fuerza de San Lorenzo S.A. de C.V. (LUFUSSA) with operations in Honduras.
Innovation and entrepreneurship have been my philosophy of life, coming to transmit in each of the teams and companies of which I am part. That’s why I’m always initiating and developing new projects that allow me to offer business growth to the countries of Central America and their communities as well, through the continuous generation of jobs.
